Challenge
The home owner noticed some missing shingles and had his insurance adjustor come for an inspection. Due to the roofing system not having other damage, the adjustor suggested having a local roofing company come do the repairs. Upon the inspection by Don Boyce, we found that the home owner should not delay. The missing shingles above the gutters had led to the decking getting wet and a leak was imminent.
Solution
Our solution was to remove existing shingles along the right roof edge and continue around back of house to bay window. We removed the shingles up to the edge of the existing decking. We removed the damaged decking, installed ice & water shield, white drip edge and starter shingles as per manufacturer's specs.
